This Privacy Policy applies to our website, and its associated subdomains (collectively, our "Service") alongside our application, AlarmLive. When you register for or use AlarmLive, we may ask you to provide personal information, including but not limited to:

• Account Credentials: We use secure authentication methods (like OAuth) and do not store raw passwords.

B. Usage and Device Data

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the App. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as:

• Device Data: IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, device name, country, and other technical information.
• Log Data: Details about when and how you use our App, including alarm usage statistics, interaction with groups, and crash logs.

C. Permissions and Specific Data

To provide the core functionality of an alarm clock with social features, we request the following permissions:

• Notifications & Alarms (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): Critical for the app’s core function — waking you up. We use these permissions to trigger alarms even when the device is locked or the app is closed.
• Audio Playback (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): Used to play alarm sounds and custom ringtones at the appropriate volume.
• Storage (READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used to allow you to select custom music files from your device as alarm sounds.
• Background Services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, WAKE_LOCK, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Required to ensure alarms function reliably, including after device restart.
• Vibration (VIBRATE): Used for alarm vibration alerts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

• Provide Core Features: Triggering alarms, managing groups, and syncing status updates.
• User Accounts: Manage your account and registration.
• Social Features: Enable you to join groups, share status updates (e.g., "Woke up", "Studying"), and interact with other users.
• Improve Reliability: Analyze crash reports to fix bugs and improve app stability.
• Communications: Send you service-related notifications (e.g., group status updates, alarm reminders).

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following situations:

• With Other Users: If you join a group, other members of that group may see your name, profile picture, and status updates (e.g., whether you woke up on time).
• Service Providers: We may share data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us (e.g., cloud hosting, push notifications).
• Legal Obligations: We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services that collect, monitor, and analyze this type of information in order to increase our App’s functionality. These third-party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

• Expo: For push notifications and over-the-air updates.
• Google/Firebase: For authentication and cloud messaging.
• Apple: For authentication.
• Notifee: For local notification scheduling and alarm management.

5. In-App Purchases

AlarmLive offers optional premium subscriptions via Google Play and Apple App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by the respective app store. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from the app store.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our App is at your own risk.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the app settings, all your personal data (profile information, group memberships, status history, and alarm configurations) is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data ("Right to be Forgotten"). You can delete your account directly within the app under Profile > Delete Account.

9. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
